I am a scientific researcher by training. I was born in India and grew up in Muscat, Oman. I moved to the US 15 years ago and live with my husband and two boys in the San Francisco Bay area.
Blogging
I discovered blogging in Dec 2008 and it was the perfect platform to express my creativity. It started out as a diary but I started blogging about whatever interested me- art and artists, interior design and travel. I chose “once upon a tea time” because tea time was and is a very special time to relax and unwind, usually with a book or magazine. I wanted people to feel the same way when they visited my blog.

My future plans
I am going back to graduate school to study more about diseases ☺ and I am really excited about that. I have started a ‘Support the artisan’ initiative on the blog and offer free advertising to organisations that support the work of artisans all over the world. I would love to start a magazine and its something I want to do- I just need more hours in the day.
