Discover India starts with the wildlife trail in India. Our first stop is the Orange County Resort in Kabini nestled in the heart of the Niligiri biosphere.

From the south, we head up towards Maharashtra where the Tadoba tiger reserve has a new luxury resort —Svasara —that aims to bring you a wildlife experience that is unique to the region.

Head further north and you will find an unexpected oasis in the desert state of Rajasthan at the Treehouse Resort set up by Sunil Mehta, located close to Jaipur.

While still in Rajasthan we decide to explore the heritage resorts and head further out towards Jodhpur, where the heritage Khimsar Fort offers a palace to dunes experience on one property.

A journey into the heart of India is never complete without its people and history. This is where we move to another aspect that receives much interest—the crafts and architecture of India. Melissa Enderle takes you on a tour through the spectacular havelis of Shekhawati region in Rajasthan and then heads on over to Gujarat to explore the magnificent crafts of the Kutch region.
